Personal Experience & Biography
Katy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, (LCPC) in the state of Maryland, proudly serving the DC Metro area. She attended Divine Mercy University in Sterling, VA and earned her MS in clinical psychology in 2018. She’s had the privilege of working with a diverse range of community members in settings such as outpatient community centers, substance use clinics, partial hospitalization programs, and a psychological testing center for children and adolescents. During her time at these facilities, she’s gained experience in psycho-educational group counseling, process group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, emotion-focused therapy, couples and marital therapy, communication skills, and executive function training.
At the CFC, Katy enjoys working with trauma, family dynamics, interpersonal struggles, grief, young adult issues, and life transitions. She currently specializes in providing individual, group, and premarital couples counseling. On a personal note, Katy loves Thai food and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband.
